PRESS RELEASE [MAY 19TH] - VADER UNVEILS NEW APPRENTICE
Dave Prowse MBE - Star Wars Darth
Vader and the Green Cross Code Man - is set to promote Welsh solo
artist - Jayce Lewis. Dave, after overcoming his recent prostate
cancer therapy has got straight back to business by announcing
promotional plans for the young musician. Both Dave and Jayce are to
also establish a brand new record label named - 'Dra'clla Records',
from which to release their future works. With the pair securing
backing from established companies around the globe this Artiste is
set to make a major impact.
Currently finishing touches are being
put to Jayce's debut album - 'Chapter'. 'I have known Jayce for a
few years and have always been in awe of his talent' says Dave
'although Jayce is primarily a drummer what amazes me is that every
song is not only written by Jayce but he also performs on every
instrument, writes all the programming and sings on the album!.
With Jayce already being endorsed by Yamaha Drums, Paistie Cymbals,
Marshal Amps, and TW Steel watches it is easy to see that Jayce means
business. Recently Jayce was offered a sponsorship deal by Gibson
Guitars. Both Dave and Jayce received invites from Gibson to attend
the Roy Orbison celebratory birthday tribute where they had the
pleasure of meeting Roy's wife Barbara and their two sons Alex and
Roy junior.
Gibson's are also offering to hold a showcase night in
their private studio when 'Chapter' is released. 'Having Dave's
huge ambitions was one thing' says Jayce 'but then to be put in touch
with Gibson's and receive their offer of support is overwhelming'.
'The support and expectations from everyone in the business is
amazing'. 'This has only been a 4 month project and yet is gathering
so much pace, we are both excited to see what is round the corner'.
With Jayce being influenced by so many styles of music it was an easy
challenge to blend Electronica/Rock/Metal/Pop and Dance Fusion for
the new release. The sound is unlike anything you would have heard,
the beats are a total signature from Jayce and the composition is
outstanding.
The album is currently being recorded in 3 separate
studios one of which is the famous Nott-In-Pill Studios in Newport by
ex Skindread duo Jeff and Ginge. Both single and video are set for
